Indeed, my monthly visitor came earlier than expected. But mama said better now than later. Hmm, why would you want it to release its gist every month as compared to that one (very torturous) time. Subhanallah everything happens for a reason. And who knew something so miniscule of a chemical released from the cells of your body can cause so much, erm, trouble. You fail to finish your work, heck you even failed to get up out of bed from that curled up, abdomen compressing position! As though THAT brings so much help! You fail to finish your thesis proposal, your studies for exam, preparing breakfast, go to the toilet. (fuh, such a way to put a blame on someting 91827391273times smaller from our size huh)
It's all in your mind Malina.
and thus, i woke up, ohhh sooooo forcefully.
Went down to mengeluh kesakitan to Aisyah and took some medicine to ease my pain. It worked wonderfully Alhamdulillah. But the fever and diarrhoae from last night still lingers somewhere between the systems of my body. Yeesh. Only on important dates will it pay a visit, I got exams on Friday for God's sake!
Anyhow, again i told myself, it's all in my mind. And so, i played some pieces on Aisyah's piano. The beautiful distraction quickly erased any sort of bad feeling/pain/bad mood i felt for the past few hours. Funny. The pain was gone. And i became totally pumped up to continue with my work. It's great how a simple mind nurturing gesture can result in such painless phenomenon. (Or probably the aspirin was just kicking in)--hey we believe what we want to believe. And i felt better already!
I went up and opened my book.

moral of the story: Be grateful for the health and blessings from Allah for you and never take anything for granted! (and for heaven's sake kill those crazy fishes along the way!)
